Book Review: Vacation Redux

OK, you have to like the main character, Charles the policeman, poor fellow who is "stuck" in St. Barts solving murders. And if you have ever been to St. Barts it's fun to revisit familiar places and attitudes via the book. . . but, this is at best a simple mystery, very simply written. It is, in fact, SO simply written that I began to wonder whether Mr. Ripley had written it while consuming a bottle of lovely, cold Sancerre while sunning away the afternoon at Saline Beach! All in great fun.
