Book Reviews of Love, LucyBook Review: Absolutely wonderful!!! Summary: 5 Stars
When I received this book, I couldn't put it down. Unlike any other book about Lucy, this one is unique because it is in her own words. It is Lucy's thoughts and feelings straight from her heart and not interpreted from someone else. She didn't go into all the scandalous details of her relationship with Desi. I'm sure she felt that this information was personal and I totally respect her for that. She did talk about when they first met and how much she was in love with him which I would much rather read about than the scandalous details many others seem interested in. Overall, I absolutely loved this book. I have already read it a second time. Wonderful!!!
Book Review: too hard to put down!! Summary: 5 Stars
Lucille Ball's autobiography, Love, Lucy, is the perfect place to find the truth about her and her life. She starts with memories as far back as she can remember and ends in 1962 after her marriage with Gary Morton. She wrote this very well and keeps you interested. It can be hard to put down sometimes! I really like Love, Lucy because it is easy to read. I also think I enjoyed this book because I am a fan of Lucille Ball's. It is always neat to learn about the life of a famous actor/actress. Lucille was very wrong to think that "nobody would want to hear any of this stuff!" This is a book for any Lucille Ball fan to have and to read.
Book Review: I LOVE LUCY Summary: 5 Stars
I never knew so much about Lucy. I really enjoyed this book and think anyone who has grown up watching her show "I Love Lucy", whether they were the originals or the reruns, would love it just as much as I have if not more. It was comforting to know that Lucille had gone through much of the troubles that each of us experience. She didn't have an easy ride through Hollywood, that's for sure! I don't believe there was a person who hated the I Love Lucy show while it was filming and I don't think that there is a person now who hates the I Love Lucy show. You'll love her book just as much! Promise!
Book Review: One of the Best Books I have ever read Summary: 5 Stars
I am not a big reader but I love biographies of the stars. I love to see where they came from and how far they have gone. Lucy has been one of my all time favorite comedians. I have watched every I Love Lucy show up until she went off the air in the 70's and then watch in syndication. When I bought this book, I did not put it down until I was finished with it. I remember I was in New York on business when I started it and finished it that night. Then went out the next day trying to find the places she lived. Literally.... I highly recommend it for any and all Lucy lovers. It's a great book.
Book Review: lucy in her own words.... Summary: 5 Stars
this book is an autobiography of lucille where she tells a story of her beginings in jamestown, new york to her acting career. she lost her father at a young age, went to acting school where they had doubted her, became a model, met desi arnaz, marriage, children, and eventually tv shows. it's a good book to read and every lucy fan should get this. i've read it 2x so far and i didn't want to put the book down. i particularly enjoy the part when she and desi met especially the love letters. it was very juicy to read. now i am interested in getting's desi's "a book" to hear his side of the story.
