Book Reviews of Look Me in the Eye: My Life with Asperger's

Book Review: Another Great Story!
Summary: 5 Stars

Eye opening!!! I have certainly changed the way I work with individuals after reading this book, especially those who obviously are uncomfortable about looking me in the eye. I am humbled by the strength of this story. We must all realize that each of us is different and deal with those differences in ways that will fulfill our own life. Great book, great man.

Book Review: Nice Perspective!
Summary: 5 Stars

Robison's perspective of himself is entertaining and enlightening. I loved reading about his rock and roll perspective~It made me laugh and yet put me in awe at how much we all take for granted in the world of social language pragmatics. Much better read than I had anticipated. I expected another dry rendition from an "aspergian" and I was pleasantly surprised.

Book Review: I loved this book!
Summary: 5 Stars

My 7 y/o nephew was recently diagnosed with aspergers, and I bought this book for some insight. Immediately after finishing it, I recommended to my sister and my Mum that they buy themselves a copy (they can't have mine!).

Brilliant story telling, I would recommend this book to anyone, whether or not they have friend or family with aspergers!

Book Review: Great book - both for those trying to understand Aspergers and for those who enjoy a Good Memoir
Summary: 5 Stars

I LOVED this book! John gives insight to how an Aspergian (as he calls himself) processes thoughts. VERY, very different from how you or I may process. At times I laughed, at times I had "aha" moments when I recognized my own daughters reactions to things. Very helpful for parent of an Aspie and also a wonderfully, good read.

Book Review: Truly Eye-Opening Memoir!
Summary: 5 Stars

My wife worked as a therapist for austic kids, and asked me to go on her behalf to a book signing with Augusten Burroughs. Augusten was describing this book, by his brother, and I realized that I had it in my car, from my wife, and I finished reading it in a day. It really did open my eyes to an entirely new world to me.
