Book Review: Fascinating Lighthouses in America
Summary: 5 Stars
Full-color 1 and 2 page photographs of many U.S.lighthouses. Some are 8x11 and others a bit smaller and on beautiful quality shiny paper. Although lighthouses are not in use much today, many have been preserved for posterity. Some have been turned into Bed & Breakfast Inns.
The book gives a brief description of location and history of each lighthouse pictured. Very fascinating stories from the past. I used the book as a reference. I had several Lighthouse Calendars that did not identify the individual lighthouses -- so in going through this book, I was able to identify and name almost every lighthouse I looked for. It is a very interesting and
informative book -- the photographs alone make it a wonderful volume to own. Lovely book!
