Book Reviews of Light on Yoga: Yoga DipikaBook Review: A Beginners Must, a Yogi's Reference Mannuel. Summary: 5 Stars
This was one of my first books when I started yoga. The detailed descriptions and pictures of poses on all levels are both a guidance and inspiration for practice. This is really a handbook for what the body can do. If you are looking for general information or inspirational work, look to Iyengar's other works. This, however, will show you exactly what to do while you are thinking those peaceful thoughts!
Book Review: Everything a beginner ever wanted to know Summary: 5 Stars
this book is great. when i first got it i was amazed by the hundreds of postures and pictures. this book gives detailed instructions on all the postures. the book also tells about yoga philosophy, routines to learn the postures, and routines to heal physical ailments. this book has given me a great understanding of yoga and how to practice it. i would recommend this book to anyone who wants to start practicing yoga.
Book Review: THE VERY BEST BOOK ON HATHA YOGA Summary: 5 Stars
This book is widely considered the best book on hatha yoga. But with it, I would recommend that you buy the author's most recent book, "Yoga: The Path to Holistic Health." The latter will enable you to start hatha yoga without a teacher. That is, the author does not tell you that you need a teacher in "Yoga: The Path to Holistic Health." Good luck. And be sure to go very easy.
Book Review: Review about "Light on Yoga: The Bible of Modern Yoga..." Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this book ( Light on Yoga: The Bible of Modern Yoga...) and the book came in excelent condition ( I purchased it new). I really like the book and I only saw it on here, Amazon. The delivery it was very fast (I asked for that) and without problems (or extra money :P). So I'm very happy with this purchase.
Book Review: the most thorough and comprehensive yoga book there is! Summary: 5 Stars
Although this isn't the prettiest or most colorful book there is, it certainly is the most detailed, comprehensive and thorough book on yoga. It is a must have for serious students as this book will last throughout your practice. Beginning students may find this a little intimiating with all the advance poses, but it's a great goal to have in mind! I am a yoga teacher and highly recommend this book.
