Book Reviews of Life with My Sister MadonnaBook Review: A MUST read. A++ Summary: 5 Stars
This book is a MUST read for any Madonna fan, former or present. I wondered why I stopped liking her shortly after the erotica era, and why I wasn't into Bedtime Stories. I thought it had to do with why I definitely considered myself a pre-erotica Madonna fan once she moved to England and took on that disingenuous accent. Now I know why. She's obviously very driven and disciplined, but I guess I finally got the message that everything she does is completely calculated and that due to or because of it she is a bit cold and uncaring about other people. This book pretty much confirmed those suspicions. I'm SO glad this book was written. A+++ a DEFINITE must read for all Madonna fans, past or present. Or for someone interested in the current inner workings of celebrity private lives. Great book! A+
Book Review: Good read Summary: 5 Stars
I got this book last night. I finished it this morning. I could not put it down. I have been a huge Madonna fan since I was in 5th grade. I am 33 now. The reason the book captured me is that I could feel the pain and truth jumping off each page. Sometimes the truth read that Madonna was a stingy bitch (ouch). Other times I had to read between the lines. Despite her brothers defense. I am sure her does has some type of drug use problem. Also he never really carves out his only pace in the world. Even by the last page of the book he seems like a sad pathetic chump next to his sister. Instead of feeling sorry for him or Madonna I feel like that both got what they deserved with the publication of this book. Real insight into who they are. And let me tell you. For either one of them it is not pretty!
Book Review: Extraordinary look into a brother-sister relationship Summary: 5 Stars
This book exceeded all of my expectations. It's been a very long time since I've found a book that I liked this much. I could not put the book down. If you enjoy peering into the lives of others, this autobiography will give you a look at what it's like growing up with (and working for) a girl who becomes one of the worlds most famous women. The book chronicles Christopher Ciccone's very close and tumultuous personal and working relationship with his sister Madonna. For her entire career, Christopher was there with Madonna, watching and helping her become one of the best known entertainers of our time. Through this book he gives you the insight into both their lives like nobody else can. You will see the price a man has paid for his life with his sister Madonna.
Book Review: every dog has its day Summary: 5 Stars
Wow! I couldn't put this book down. I read this in one day. All the things I suspected about madonna were true and I can see how she'd be mad about her brother writing the book. As for rumors saying she's the co-author I rather doubt that. She really gave her brother the shaft and he comes off being a rather likeable fellow. I find madonna as being a loathsome pathetic creature with limited talent and the only real talent she has is using people. I feel so sorry for her kids but I'm quite sure they have to make an appointment just to see her. It's a great book and I've already loaned the book out to friends who are just dying to read it.
Book Review: Bitter Little Brother or Bad Big Sister? Summary: 5 Stars
I think the story is well written. I listened to it on audio and it kept my full attention the entire time. If the story is real, it hurts me that this man was taken advantage of so many times by Madonna. Timew and time agan, he does for Madonna. Not for money, but out of love...only to be taken advantage of. It just goes to show how many times we overlook things just because the person is family. If it is true, Madonna is quite selfish, rude and takes advantage of those closest to her. If this story is not true, then shame on Christopher. But something tells me, this story is true.
