Book Reviews of Letters to Erik: The Ghost's Love StoryBook Review: At last...the story as it should have been told! Summary: 5 Stars
I loved the way the author started the book out with Christine's letters to Erik. As she wrote each letter...she realized, more and more, just how much Erik had meant to her! Then when we learned that Erik had not died....it was his turn to show just how much he had always loved her! It was such a joy to see his excitement in knowing that she actually had loved him! I kept waiting for something unforeseen to happen but it never did. It was just a wonderful, warm telling of their stories and him finally knowing about his past and what was deservedly his! It was written like we all wished it should have been written. An Wallace did a superb job with this! You actually walk away from this book feeling so uplifted!
Book Review: The Book Erik Deserved Summary: 5 Stars
I just finished this book and thought I'd let you know that it is worth reading! The title is what grabbed me, since I have been known on occasion to write him letters myself.
This book is based off of Gaston Laroux's Phantom of the Opera, therefore Erik is taken from the discription in that book. No Gerard Butler or Andrew Lloyd Webber Erik here, sorry!
The story picks up from when Christine leaves Paris to return to Sweden with Raoul, and in her grief over losing Erik, she writes letters to him as a way to deal with the loss. I will not give any spoilers here. But, since I read it in one sitting, lets just say it was hard to put down!
Book Review: A Love Story Perfected Summary: 5 Stars
After reading the very positive reviews from other readers regarding this book, and having a love for the Phantom story, I was anxious to get this book. It certainly turned out to be everything that the reviewers raved about. I always felt that the original Phantom story ended in a very loose and vauge way. This book picks up instantly where the original left off with a true love story that continued through full circle to it's completion. The original Phantom novel may have been the beginning, but this work completes the story. The two novels, just like Christine and Erik, almost seem meant to be! Perfect finish- Great book!!
Book Review: fantastic phan phiction!! Summary: 5 Stars
I loved this book. I thought the author stayed very true to Leroux's book, and thought all characters stayed in character, except perhaps for Raoul. It could be seen that the author did a good deal of research before writing aswell which only true phans would recognise (=. I agree with the previous reviewer about the bedroom scene. it was tastefully done, and very romantic. The twist at the end was very amusing, and made me laugh. If you want to read a romance story about Erik and Christine that stays faithful to the original book, and adds more to the story, then this is the book for you.
Book Review: I Fell in Love with this Book and Didn't Want it to End Summary: 5 Stars
I am addicted to Phantom of the Opera and I always thought Christine was the most selfish, shallow person in the original work by Gaston Leroux and the movie by Andrew Loyd Webber. I love reading the fan fics where she gets her head out of her butt and realizes that Eric should have been her choice in the first place. This book was beautiful to me. I loved how she wrote the letters and how their relationship was put to rights again. There was humor, love, and some very great moments in this book for me. I am delighted I bought this one and am going to read it again and again.
