Book Reviews of Learning to Love You MoreBook Review: Miranda Never Disappoints Summary: 5 Stars
I was inspired to include a review for this book because I noticed some people were questioning why the book does not include any of Miranda's original artwork. This project itself is part of Miranda's art: She is the kind of unique artist that inspires others and pushes to look at things in a new way and sometimes from the perspective of others -- which is the point of this book, to explore different perspectives and lives and compile them into a book of art and unique expressions.
It's amazing. I've been recommending it for a few years and get stuck flipping through every time I pick it up again.
Book Review: I learned to love and loved to do it. Summary: 5 Stars
I got this book for my Boyfriend of seven years. We had just relocated to a VERY rural part of Texas from a VERY Urban setting in Chicago. I was afraid we would have nothing to do. A friend showed me this book and I knew i had to get it. I love love love this book. It has given my boyfriend and I so much to do when we had nothing but four walls to look at. I would say that this book has helped us transition into our new lives in Texas as well as helped to build a stronger relationship between us. Thanks to the Authors for this new hope!
Book Review: Browsable, quirky inspiration for writers Summary: 5 Stars
This book is hard to categorize, which is exactly what I like about it. I was drawn to it as a source for unusual writing exercises, and it has those, as well as ideas for other creative projects ("take a picture of what's under your bed.") The projects seem more accessible and less expected than the exercises in more academic writing texts, and they can be adapted for groups of different ages and experience levels. It's also just fun to browse, and has become one of my favorite writing books, next to Lynda Barry's "What It Is."
Book Review: I BOUGHT FOUR COPIES OF THIS BOOK Summary: 5 Stars
I stood in Atomic Books in Baltimore and read the whole thing. Seriously. My knees almost buckled. They had four copies on the table. I bought them all, took them home, wrapped them and handed them out as Christmas presents. I didn't get one for myself. (But doesn't that make my gift of the book the best present, as it was the thing I wanted most but instead passed on to someone else?!) I hope someone gives it to me for Christmas this year as I'd love to look at it all over again.
Book Review: Great buy...fun book! Summary: 5 Stars
this book made an awesome valentines present ((compared to the typical cards and flower alternative!))....it's a very fun, sentimental and thought-provoking book that makes you wanna slow down and take notice of all the small beautiful and day-to-day thinks in life!
