Book Reviews of Le Petit Prince (French Language Edition)Book Review: Magical journey... Summary: 5 Stars
My first book ever was The little prince. It was my dad's first present on the day I was born. Since then I have read it at least 20 times, and every time I read it it delivers a different message. I think this is a book that will be enjoyed by kids as well as adults. This french version is beautiful, and very similar to the one my dad gave me in spanish. Has the original drawings with nice colors. As someone stated this book can be interpreted in different ways and that's why it's so magical. I consider it one of the best short stories ever. A true masterpice.
Book Review: Classic in any lanugage Summary: 5 Stars
I've read this book many times, sometimes in English, sometimes in French. I've read it for pleasure. I've studied it. I've taught it. I love it. The fox's secret is an important lesson for us all and one I appreciate being reminded of. I recommend this book to anyone, it's been translated into over 100 languages. (It's been translated more than any book besides the Bible I've heard.) I love sharing it with people which is why I will teach it as long as I'm teaching and I will read it aloud to my children when I have them.
Book Review: Essential to the Heart Summary: 5 Stars
I read this book when I was in High School a couple of years ago
my teacher gave me a bookmark about Exuprey's famous quote.
This book moved me soo much.
I have always remembered fondly the book the writer and his message!
One sees clearly only with the heart
Anyting essential is invisible to the eyes.
-Antoine De Saint-Exuprey
Those two lines I will repeat to my children.
I am repurchasing this book mine is very worn out.
Book Review: great in its original language Summary: 5 Stars
I have read TPP in Spanish, as a child; in English and now in French. The French is 100 times better than any translation. If you have been raised in a romance language, you know that the charm and sonority of French or Spanish is completely lost, even in a good translation. If you have read TPP in translation before, read it in French. It is easy to understand and a great book for those, like me, who want to develop reading skills. Regarding the story, it is indisputable that TPP is a classic full of wisdom.
Book Review: Fantastic Summary: 5 Stars
This books is simply one of the most wonderful stories ever written. On its face it may be a children's book, but there is a strong message for adults regarding what is important in life and keeping one's priorities straight. In terms of writing quality, the French version is on a whole other level relative to the English version. Even if you only speak a little French, being able to read this book is the perfect reason to learn more. Je suis certain que vous aimerez ce livre. Bonne chance.
