Book Reviews of Layne Staley: Get Born AgainBook Review: Not good.... Summary: 1 Stars
The only thing this book is good for is the pictures & small amount of info ur given on Layne...it goes off the subject too much & leaves too many questions unanswered... I also find it strange that the author never met with Layne in person but he called her in the middle of the night to give the supposed last interview, which is rather questionable, also left out too much of his life with alice/friends/associates & skipped over important details rather quickly to focus on the drug element...Layne hated journalists after 1 wrote that he had puncture marks on his hands during an alice interview & was pretty much the last contact he had with them, is hard to believe he fessed up to a journalist not long before he died, esp when he was an intensely private person..
Book Review: Do Not Buy This Book Summary: 1 Stars
This is perhaps the greatest disjustice to a great musician ever committed. Mrs. Rubio is a semi-literate moron and should not be taken seriously for anything. First year freshmen could write a better account. If you are looking for insite into a great musician or that of a tortured artist pick up the Slash biography. Because get born again is a pile of garbage.
Book Review: Do NOT buy this book Summary: 1 Stars
To buy this book is tantamount to spitting on Layne Staleys grave. There was a very good reason Layne
didn't trust journalists... this book is it. Not that you could consider this journalism on even the most juvenile level. Buy Alice in Chains music and videos. Buy Mad Season music and videos. Avoid this book.
Book Review: very disappointing Summary: 1 Stars
I was very unhappy with this book. I didn't like her relating her problems into the poorly written book. The book was about his mother trying to redeem herself. I wish I never bought this
