Book Review: Beautiful, Exciting but Practical

The main reason I purchased this book was for the Silk Camisole on page 96. After paging through the book however I've found many other projects that look interesting and fun.
The book is laid out in the amount of time it takes to finish a project, which is useful if you have differing amounts of time in which to make your project.
Several of the projects jump out at me are the felted potholders (p 49), The baby bonnet on page 53 is just gorgeous, and Kim's Hats pattern is just so versatile. (p 61) Joelle Hoverson has added tassel, pompom and cotton drawstring bag instructions. There are toys, blankets, sweaters, scarves and wrist warmers.
I am very pleased with the book and can't wait till I finish some of my other projects so I can begin on some of these.

AUTHOR BIO: Knitwear designer Joelle Hoverson is the owner of Purl, an upscale knitting supply store in New York City's trendy SoHo neighborhood. Since opening in 2002, Purl has been featured in Oprah Winfrey's O magazine, Lucky, and Time Out, as well as on Martha Stewart's syndicated television show. From 1996 to 2000, Hoverson worked as a senior style editor for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. She holds a master of fine arts degree from Yale University.
Anna Williams is a freelance photographer based in New York City. Her work appears frequently in Martha Stewart Living, Oprah Winfrey's O magazine, Food & Wine, Gourmet, Real Simple, In Style, Elle Decor, and other national publications.
