Book Reviews of Knife of Dreams (Wheel of Time)Book Review: if people would stop complaining and enjoy they would understand Summary: 5 Stars
As i have been reading many people are complaining that this series is slow and will go on forever. i for one want as much detail into this world as i can have.
People have to understand that Jordan writes to the people who enjoy an epic filled with detail and suspense, not for those harry potter laki fans who just want to know how it ends.( and i liked harry potter) it is not what happens in the books that jordan made great, it is how it happened.
The entire series is so rich in complexity that it seems that you know the people. everyone knows nynaeve is a total @#$%! but without her the story would be less. because everyone knows that there are people like that. people can relate to the characters or can compare them to people they know. what jordan was trying to do is creat a world that is captivating in its nonfantastic fantasy. as in people could pictur these things happening and would feel the love, hate, despaire, and joy of the charecters.
I think people should just sit back and enjoy this series for what it is, as complex as the real world with real seeming people, with real world drama. please read this book and enjoy it for all its wonder. and hope sanderson does not mess up the worlds greatest world of my dreams.
if anyone has read inkheart i would make silvertounge read this entire book outloud or to read me into it if he could. :)
Book Review: One before the last Summary: 5 Stars
"Knife of Dreams" finally begins to tie up several storylines which have taken place in the previous books. Though it seems that with this pace "A Memory of Light" will have to be gigantic (and it will be three books afterall), the book keeps us focused and eager to know what's coming next, just like with the others.
Perrin's attempts to rescue Faile finally come to an end, as well as Mat's escape from the Seanchan. Thom Merrilin finally reveals the contents of the letter Moiraine left him. Egwene begins undermining Elaida's control of the White Tower as she run the Rebellion from the world of dreams. Elaine begins to see the civil war in Andor is about to finish, either having her as the queen or not. Rand schemes the truce with the Seanchan at the same time he prepares a massive surprise for them.
If you came all the way from the first book to the tenth, don't miss "Knfe of Dreams"!!!
Book Review: Finally some major events Summary: 5 Stars
I am very very happy with this book. From about books 6-10, nothing that eventful happened and no plot lines were moved forward at any great effort.
In KoD, many interesting events take place and it starts to feel like a real adventure is about to embark. By the end of reading this book, I was convinced that Tarmon Gaidon is quite near - nearer than we think.
All in all, I say this is the best one yet (not including TGS or ToM because I haven't read them yet..)
Hope you found this helpful.
Book Review: Best Book Yet Summary: 5 Stars
Of the 11 books so far in the series (not counting the prequels) this one was the best. It even had a section told from Tuon's point of view which I enjoyed more than I thought I would! I don't see how the guy who is going to finish the series since Robert Jordan died can wrap everything up in one book, but having 13 books (for the 13 Aes Sedai needed to gentle a man who can channel) in the series might work out best. One thing is certain: this book has definitely picked up the pace! 5 stars!
Book Review: The best series ever! Summary: 5 Stars
I can't stress enough how awesome this series is! I had this book stolen a couple of months ago and couldn't find it at any of my local bookstores. Luckily amazon was selling it for an amazing price! It was used and a little torn, but I really don't care. I was eager to start reading again! Definetly recommend it to all ages!
