Book Review: Cute little book not my favorite.
Summary: 3 Stars
There are several books out there for kids and knitting. I purchased this book for my niece who is in 5th grade. The book was a little too young for her so I wound up giving it to a friend with a 1st grade daughter. The use of little characters to teach the concepts of knitting was ideal for a younger girl (1st through 3rd grade). The instructions were fairly clear, but the projects were a little goofy. I wound up buying a klutz kit book that included needles and instructions Klutz ? Knitting Kit. I wanted to buy her needles and yarn anyway so the price was about the same. I since have gone to the library to look at other kids knitting books and was able to find several others I thought were better for older girls such as the following: Kids Knitting: Projects for Kids of all Ages.

Learning to knit can be enormous fun for five-to-ten-year-olds--especially when helped along by animal characters whose antics make each lesson a delight.
