Book Reviews of Kick Me: Adventures in Adolescence

Book Review: Trials and tribulations of a geek
Summary: 5 Stars

Paul Feig has acquired a real legion of fans as a result of his television show "Freaks and Geeks." And justifiably so. "Freaks and Geeks" was one of the best shows in the last twenty years. Feig's book "Kick Me" is just as enjoyable. As others here have commented the book contains equal doses of cringing and laughter. For most of us adolescence was painful and Paul's was off the scale. But his sense of humour and writing talents make his tales of teenaged angst a pleasure to read.

Book Review: Excellent book, we all can relate!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I dont know where to begin. I couldnt put this book down, I read it in just a few hours - straight through! Every vignette is so actual, and so funny, we can easily see ourselves or a friend in the exact same situation. My two favorites were when Paul went to the prom, and when he hung up his dads military "flag" - both hilarious. I would have given this book 6 stars if possible. I coulnd recommend it more!!!!

Book Review: The best book (so far) this year
Summary: 5 Stars

This is the best book I have read so far this year. I loved it! I didn't know who Paul Feig was when I started reading it, and I bought the book on a whim, but boy, was it a blast! A must read for any Previous Geeks (or current geeks, for that matter), or by anyone who experienced childhood. It really is Laugh-Out-Loud funny (95%) and Heart-Warming and Touching (5%).
Read it...you won't be sorry.

Book Review: Painfully Realistic
Summary: 5 Stars

Mr. Feig's tale is a painfully realistic account of growing up account in the 1970s. I definately could relate to many of the autobiographical essays, as I am also in my late 30s. But I do feel people of any age can relate. Fans of the Freaks and Geeks television series will find many of the essays ended up as plot lines for various episodes. I highly recommend the book.

Book Review: Paul "Fag" is hilarious.
Summary: 5 Stars

I read this book last year after I stumbled across it in my school's library...and laughed the whole time I was reading. Just the first page, "There is no god!" and then proceeding to fill us all in on his crazy family, horrible life experiences, from single ply toilet paper to "inspections" in gym class. This is one of the funniest books you will ever read.
