Book Reviews of James and the Giant PeachBook Review: James and The Giant Peach is an excellent read! Summary: 5 Stars
I read this book for my creative writing class. We had to do an assignment where we read ten children's literature book. I was dreading the assignment, but, I found this book and I remembered it was good when I was a child. So I reread this book, it was even more enjoyable the second time. It is extremely creative and will teach your child some morals. Their is the death of parents and aunts within the book, so it might not be suitable for younger children. It would be a good book for adults to read to kids.
Book Review: A Book Full of Imagination Summary: 5 Stars
I am a tutor for a young child. I recently read this book to a child who doesn't like to read, and he could not put this book down. From a child's perspective, he found the book easy to read. He said the words jumped off the page giving him images in his mind. He loved the adventure and even put himself in the book as James. He pretended to be on the adventure and enjoyed every page. This book can jump start any child's interest to read. This book installs creativity and a fun love to read in a child.
Book Review: James and the giant peach Summary: 5 Stars
Our class read this book. We love all of Roald Dahl's books because he uses Scrumdiddlyumptious words like: Whangdoodle,Blunderheads, Knid, Manticore, Flabbergasted and Snozzwanger. He made the centipede a real wizzy character. We liked the lazy Silkworm. When James hooked the seagulls to the peach it was funny because the Earthworm worried a lot about the seagulls biting him. It was funny when the firemen and policemen fainted away. On the last page we saw all the insects when they were small on the tree. ...
Book Review: If you like action, this is the book for you!! Summary: 5 Stars
This is an awesome book! It is about a boy named James. James' parents die in a plane crash and James is sent to go live with his aunts. His aunts treat him like dirt. One day James meets a magical man. He gives James a bag with little green things in it. James runs home with the bag and suddenly... he drops it. He wakes up in the morning and cleans the mess his aunts made. He soon gets to go into a giant peach and the book tells all about the adventures in it. This was an awesome book!!
Book Review: My Favorite book! Summary: 5 Stars
This book was great and full of adventure. I loved every moment of it(in other words... I don't have a favorite part). I would actually sit down and read this book over and over again. Normally, I won't even finish an entire book, but this one is worth taking time to read the whole thing. I enjoy the vivid imagination that Roald Dahl used in writing this book. He is a very tanlented writer. I only wish that there would have been a sequal. Taylor McDowell
