He starts to make a hole and crawls inside and turns cartoonish and falls to see insects insideand become best friends.Jamesis on his way home NY. Here comes James and the Giant Peach. I like this book because it is adventures one. It was an easy book to connect to the characters. I understand how people feell and see things in the book. There were a lot of cliff hangers. I didn't like about this book is that it had no horror. If you like adventures book, then you should read this book.

When a young boy's parents die he is forced to live with his horrid aunts, who have a peach tree that suddenly grew a giant peach at a rapid speed. James got curious and found a tunnel in the peach that leads him to an extraordinary adventure and unbelievable problems! Within the peach is non stop fighting between bugs and non stop problems.
Roald Dahl is great. He is good with cliffhangers and he puts a lot of dialogue which gets you really interested. I felt I never wanted to put the book down. Roald Dahl really got into the characters and showed their attitude. He added a lot of details which pulled me into the book. I have to say if you like excitement this book is for you. I recommend this book to the young boys and girls. This books genre is adventure and fantasy. I love this book. I just have to say if you never read this book you just have to. I might be exaggerating but this is the second best book I have ever read. I'd rate this book a 10.

Book Review: Cool Book Summary: 5 Stars
James and the Giant Peach was Roald Dahl's first book he wrote for children and I must say that this book was superb. It was funny, had really great characters, and had a really enthralling story. The book is about a boy named James that meets an old man and James gets these green beady things that can change his life forever. While walking to the house to use the beads he trips and they get into the soil. he thinks all of his hopes are up but they're not. A peach grows from the peach tree that never ever grew a peach and it gets bigger and bigger until it reaches about the size of a car. Then James gets inside the peach where he meets insects that tell the story how they got the beads and thats how they got in the peach and the peach got big. But then the peach starts rolling downhill until it reaches the sea and falls in. They come out and see sharks eating the peach so they have segulls pull them and they fly all over the Atlantic Ocean until they reach New York. That's the most I'll tell you except READ THIS BOOK. It is so good. Adults and children will love this book. Read it!
Book Review: I was hooked from the moment of the horrible rhinoceros accident Summary: 5 Stars
This was one of my favorite Roald Dahl books as a child, perhaps second only to Fantastic Mr. Fox. Maybe it was because I grew up on a farm with a vast orchard, so the idea that one of our peach trees might miraculously produce such a grand vessel to adventure was deliciously enticing to me (well, this was far more plausible then winning a contest to the world's greatest chocolate factory-and, truthfully, I was never much of a candyholic anyways-my brother generally finished off all the Easter treats in my basket, lest they just give in to mold). At any rate, I loved this book, from the moment that the parents of poor little James were so horribly dispatched by the terrible rhinoceros. I think every kid pretty much knows that this story meant business by that point! The wonderful characters make this story; it's just too bad that these delightful insects never really translated into film. What else to say? This book is a classic, and serves as the perfect example as to why Roald Dahl remains a perpetual favorite with young people.
