Book Reviews of the James and the Giant PeachCustomer Review: Nonsense Summary: 2 Stars
James and the Giant Peach is simply nonsense. If you like nonsense then you may like this book. The story is as simple as the other reviews make it sound: A giant peach grows, he crawls inside, he meets some big insects. That's basically it. It is not clever. I did not find it funny. I would have given it only one star, but my son liked it, saying, "Dahl writes good books, but they're strange." I feel sorry for anyone who feels this is their favorite childhood book.
