Book Review: the adventure of karana alone in the island

karana was living in an island with her family. her father was the chief of the island.the white men came to the island. they were called aleuts. they wanted to hunt in the island. chief chowing didn't want this. then they made a deal. the aleuts should have given them the half of the animals that they hunt. they hunt and didn't give half of it. they were about to leave but karana's brother saw them and the fight started. a lot of people died. these people were men because the women were not allowed to fight. chief chowing died too. there were a lot of women and a little men. kimki was the new chief. he went somewhere to bring people to the island. he sent some people to bring there. the canoes left but karana's brother was left in the island. she jumped from the canoe and swam to the island. in the island ramo and karana were alone. ramo died. karana lived 18 years in the island. in this time she broke the rules of her religion. it said women should not make weapons,women should not fight and hunt but she had to do these to survive.then somebody came and she learned that her tribe couldn't go where they want to go. but she leave the island.Book Review: Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott O'dell

It all started on a beautiful day,the sea looked like a stone with out any scratches. Then a huge object appeared over the horizon,it looked like a big red whale.It seemed to be a ship that belonged to the Aleuts, who came to hunt otter. Karana's father was the cheif of Ghalas-at, and he never trusted them from the start, but he agreed to let them stay. In return they agreed to give him gold and silver. They stayed for many suns and many moons. Finally,the day came for the Aleuts to leave the island. On the day they left they killed most of the men and left the women and a few men to live by themselves. One day an old man sets out to find help and never comes back. Galas-at is starting to lose hope. Finally someone spots a boat on the horizon. Who is it , is it the Aleuts again? Or is it the old man? I read the book Island of the Blue Dolphins. This is a wonderful adventure book. Karana is the main character of the story. She is a villager in the Ghalas-at tribe on the Island of the Blue Dolphins. When a ship came to the island to take the villagers to a new land, she got left behind. Finally, one of her biggest enemies became her best friend.
I found three new opinions in this book. Friends will do anything to help or protect you. Your enemies can become your friends. It is not a good idea to make deals with strangers.
I also learned some interesting facts. I learned that Karana was a real person. She was really known as The Lost Woman of San Nicolas. I also learned that the Island of Blue dolphins is a real place but its real name is La Isla de San Nicolas. Finally, the Indians of Ghalas-at had disappeared.
I would recommend this book for three reasons. Once you start reading you won't want to stop. It is full of action and adventure. It has many surprises too.
I think that if you like adventures, you will love this book.

Island of The Blue Dolphins
This book is called Island of The Blue Dolphins. It is by Scott O' Dell. The book is about a girl who lives with an Indian tribe and she lives with them on a beautiful island. One day a tribe called the Aleuts come and their lifestyle changes. Then they get a new leader and set off with his other people. The main girl in the book's dad was the leader then he wasn't because of the Aleuts master mind ideas and plots they had on him. The only people that didn't get to go with the leaders people was the main girl and her brother. What happens next? You have to read the book.
The main theme of the book is loving your family and survival. But the main idea is to care about what you do in your life and take care of your family, tribe, or, community. And love where you are wherever you are because that's your home.
I personally loved this book! It's an easy read and you can understand it so well. I hope everyone in the world will read this book once or twice. Expect to like this book because it's a fantastic book.

Karana, a young girl, is stranded upon an island,alone for 18 years with nothing but some animals as companions. The villagers (people of Ghalas-at) are gone. White men came to bring the villagers to a country,but Karana's little brother Ramo,who was 6, was still on the island while everyone was on the boat. Karana,12, jumped off to be with him. Now it was a struggle for survival. the island didnt have many trees. She has many courageous adventures with her greatest friend Rontu. But her father had told her that if woman made weapons they would break in her hand at the time she needed it most. How would she protect herself? Karana encounters wild dogs,a giant devilfish, sea elephants,death and nature. Will Karana live on the Island of the Blue Dolphins forever? Will she make weapons even though her father warned her? Will she give up and die? Will she ever get rescued? You must read this page-turning book to find out. Based on the true story of "The Lost Woman of San Nicholas". I recommend this book to everyone who likes to be on the edge of their chair. It was one of the best books i have ever read.
