Book Reviews of Inkheart (Inkheart Trilogy)Book Review: Readers, beware! Summary: 5 Stars
How often do you delight in hearing a novel read aloud by someone whose heart and soul goes into the reading? As a teacher, I give that gift to my students and I was intrigued by the premise that if you read each word with just the right if you've read the book, you know that what happens next could be highly dangerous. Great new spin on a fantasy of "what if". I highly recommend this book for all kids who enjoy stepping out of the ordinary and spending time in a different dimension. Super book: Inkheart.
Book Review: Inkheart Summary: 5 Stars
I think that Inkheart is a tale about a girl, Meggie, who has no mother. Instead, she has a quest, a quest to get the evil ruler Capricorn, back into the book. But when Capricorn captures her father, she goes and gets him back, only to get captured herself, and to learn that her mother is stuck in her book. So, Meggie and her father escape, and return to her great aunt Elinor's house. To find out more, you should just read the book. And if you have read the book, like me, DO NOT TELL WHAT HAPPENS!!!
Book Review: Caitlin's review of Inkheart Summary: 5 Stars
I borrowed this book from the school library and started reading it but had to take it back to the library because it was the end of the school year. My Nan bought me the series because I was enjoying reading the book. I will finish this book while I am on holidays as I am about halfway through the first book and I enjoy it so much because you don't know what is going to happen next! Inkheart
Book Review: A waking dream Summary: 5 Stars
This was a terrific read and I cannot wait to read it to my children some day. The descriptions are not overly done where nothing is left to the imagination, but left with an opening for a visual image to fill your mind as you imagine Meggie sitting on the top bunk.
The book is very hard to put down once you get to the middle. Though, even before the middle it's quite enjoyable but not as gripping. It does drag just a bit at first, but keep reading, you'll be pleased you did.
Book Review: Inkheart from my Heart Summary: 5 Stars
Like the Thief Lord, Funke has a magical way of drawing you into the lives of the characters she creates. This tale, though haunting at times, shows the reader what it would be like if storybook characters came to life and lived among us. In this story, a father and daughter endure challenges beyond imagination as they fight for survical against the evil Capricorn, a character brought to life after being read from the book Inkheart. This book is fantasy within reality.
