Book Reviews of Inkheart (Inkheart Trilogy)Book Review: OMG!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
Meggie has been taken away by an evil ruler named Capricorn. Now, with the help of friends and family, will she escape, or will she die by the sword of the evilest, The Shadow? Read it to find out! This is a very good book. The plot is something that nobody can let go of. This book surprises you a lot. When you think one thing is going to happen, something else does! When I first picked up this book at the school library, I knew this was a book I would want to read over and over! Cornelia Funke is such a great author! If she makes more of this story after Inkspell, I'm gonna buy em' all! Meggie has been taken away by an evil ruler named Capricorn. Now, with the help of friends and family, will she escape, or will she die by the sword of the evilest, The Shadow? Read it to find out!
Book Review: Cornelia Funke has done it again By: The Fonz Summary: 5 Stars
The Fonz here with a new review for you!!! So i picked up Cornelia Funkes new book Inkheart a WHILE back (i actually dont no why ive waited so long to write a review for it)At first it didnt sound all that good for me but Cornelia Funke was on a roll with other hit books such as Dragon Rider, or The Theif Lord. This book sports everything a fantasy should have with the essence of drama and action perfectly blended into it. Such vivid descriptions that it set my imagineation to work to create master peices in my mind of what these things would look like. This book left me begging for more. Such vile villans, and inner conflicts between people on what to do and how to do it. I love this book I had to buy it and its sequel. Hope i was helpful sincerely The Fonz
Book Review: I can't wait for the 3rd volume and you'll be like me if you start Summary: 5 Stars
You barely have time to breathe from the 1st word of this 1st volume until the last word of the 2d one.
A book about books, you hallucinate when finally you read about those character coming to life when you turn a page, when you go to sleep and think about them. When you read about the smell, the noise and feeling of a book in your hands. But it is much more than that. It is about going from one world (not in the future at all) to ours. It is about good and bad, treachery and trust, family and loneliness in one word as in a hundred it is about life. And what a life. There's a mix of fantasy and reality and I loved it. Cornelia Funke is a great writer, I can't stay in place waiting for the 3rd volume. Enjoy,
Claude
Book Review: For Grown-up Book Nuts as well! Summary: 5 Stars
Inkheart is a young adult fantasy novel in the same vein as Harry Potter. It is the story of a young girl, Meggie, who has a special gift she inherited from her father, Mo. She can read stories to life. Of course, heroes are not the only ones read out of stories and, subsequently, Meggie and her father must vanquish the evil Capricorn and find Meggie's mother who has been missing for nine years. Besides the action and the delightful characters, the book is filled with tributes to those who love reading and books and each chapter is preceded by a quote from great pieces of literature such as Peter Pan and Treasure Island. I highly recommend this book to any lover of words and stories.
Book Review: A Captivating Tale Summary: 5 Stars
Inkheart is a magnificent story that starts when Meggie hears footsteps during the night while she's reading her book. The footsteps belong to a visitor named Dustfinger. While Meggie is eavesdropping on Dustfinger and her father Mo, she finds out that a man named Capricorn wants something from her (Meggie's) father. They all go to Meggie's great aunt Elinor's house where Mo is kidnapped by a group of men. Meggie, Dustfinger, and Elinor set out to find Mo with Dustfinger knowing where he probably has gone. There, they all find themselves in a place of trickery and evil.
This book is a great read for people who like deep fantasy and adventure. 534 pages. Ages 10+.
