Book Reviews of Inkdeath (Inkheart Trilogy)

Book Review: A great ending to a fantastic series! / Info. for busy and conscientious parents
Summary: 5 Stars

This whole series was imaginative and engrossing. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it. A few things I would want to know if I were a parent considering this series for my child: 1) There is violence and death. It's not too gory or scary, but it does open up the potential for discussions about death and life after death . . . 2) There are a few quotes at the beginning of chapters that some parents might want to talk to their child about. There are only a few, but the ones I am thinking of portray God going through a process of trial and error as a process of creation. 3) some of the characters and quotes use a few unsavory words. It only happens a few times. It's always best to read a book before your child does; however, if you are not able too, I hope this is helpful.

Book Review: Brilliant, Stunning, Cant even think of a word...
Summary: 5 Stars

This book, this SERIES is just fabulous! It is art printed in black and white. The words paint pictures in your head and sing to you as you read them. It was originally in german, which makes it even more mind-boggling how good it is. The story is so incredibly original and captivating. It is action, it is fairy tale, it is romance, it is comedy ,it is everything a good book should be! Best of all is the writing. It draws you in and make you hungry for more. The whole plot makes you bite your nails and feel for the characters. The end was both sad and happy, something I love in a book! Overall, this book was so wonderful, there isn't a word amazing enough to describe it. Would recommend to anyone!

Book Review: She saved the best for last!
Summary: 5 Stars

Though I love all of the books in the Inkheart trilogy (what would one be without the others?), Inkdeath is by far my favorite! Here is what I liked about Inkdeath:

The story moved at a great pace that kept me reading ( I hated to put it down..but what is a grown-up to do?)

The characters were true to the other books and clearly evolving with the story

The plot had several twists and turns, leaving you wondering what was going to happen next

And finally, it just blew me away! The creativity and detail was enough to have me thinking even when the book was closed.

Great trilogy and another job well done by Cornelia Funke!

Book Review: Funke is on a serious roll
Summary: 5 Stars

I love the Inkheart trilogy, I seriously can't get enough of it! I must admit at first I was somewhat reluctant to read the conclusion to the trilogy, afraid it might be a letdown as most serie-enders are becoming, but it was as excellent as the first and second books (not to mention the breathtaking cover). Its excellently paced, descriptive, suspenseful, and keeps you flipping the pages, just salivating for the finish. I admit it started a little slow in my opinion, but it definitely picked up and kept my interest; I just couldn't put it down. I don't really want to give anything away, except that this is an amazing book, and you cannot miss out on it.

Book Review: The End!!
Summary: 5 Stars

Inkdeath is the resolution to the events that began on Inkspell.

Mo and Meggie are running against the clock to kill the Adderhead, save the children of Ombra and virtually bring down two kingdoms. It is up to the Bluejay and a certain Fire-Dancer to save everyone. But Orpheus will use his velvety voice to harm everyone and everything.

Prepare to read a lot since this book has 663 pages put together into 81 chapters. This hardcover edition comes with a summary of the first two books and a type of glossary at the end which gives a small description of a few characters and creatures of the Inkworld.
