I really enjoyed every book in the Lydia Chin / Bill Smith series - the sense of humor and the engaging characters. But I fear the author has tired of her quirky detection team and feels compelled to get more serious. In This Rain takes itself very seriously.
If you like plenty of action and a convoluted story full of corrupt and deluded politicians, you may like this book. I don't want to discourage any readers, since Rozan is certainly a competent writer. I just wish the author would return to the lighter mood of earlier books.
Summary of In this Rain
