Book Reviews of Impossible Cure: The Promise of Homeopathy

Book Review: An excellent source for someone to understand Homeopathy better
Summary: 5 Stars

I was on a look out for a good book on Homeopathy as I always felt there are some missing points in my understanding of the practice. I asked the Doctor we consult for advise who without hesitation suggested this book. I started the book and could not put it down. It was written in a fairly easy language, however, on occassions one might need to look up some terms.

I knew about the existance practice for a long time and it has worked wonders for me and my family, however, whenever I tried to explain to different individuals about the benifits I was not satisfied with my explanations to them, most of them were interested upto the point of how it worked for us, however, one need to understand its workings upto some extent to get the benifit. As I know Homeopathy, it is better an individual understand the workings of the medicine before going to a practitioner as it requires patients (or someone close to the patient, say in case of kids) involvement in the treatment. In this context this book is very helpful for someone before going to a practitioner. Even with my long exposure to the practice I learned a lot from the book.

As Dr. Lansky aptly points out it is a complex process, however, it is extremely effective once correct remedy is selected, as her experince has indicated close observation is needed for administering the remedy, for this a good understanding of the workings is essential, this book fills the reader with the information.

It is also an excellent read for someone who just want to understand Homeopathy in general.

Book Review: I Am Healed
Summary: 5 Stars

There are many reviews of this book and other related books without a mention of a genuine homeopathic cure/healing by the reviewers. I will give you mine: this is the first book I read on homeopathy 3 years ago. In fact, reading it gave me the confidence to schedule a consultation with a classical homeopath. You see, for a decade I struggled with chronic bronchitis, getting very sick 3-4 times a year and receiving allopathic treatment which alleviated the symptoms until the next attack. I was told nothing could be done and as I aged my condition would probably worsen. I had gone to my homeopath 2x when I got the first symptoms of another attack: a low grade fever that I had had for two weeks before my next scheduled appointment. She gave me a remedy and I drove with my wife to the local farmer's market. Within 30 minutes of shopping my fever had shot up and I was feeling delirious to the point of not being able to drive home. Recall I had had this low-grade fever for two weeks upon getting the remedy and had been able to function fine with it until taking the remedy. I spent the next 4 days in bed with a 104 degree fever. It was awful. At times I could hardly breathe and was frightened of suffocating, yet my complexion took of a glow and clarity that it hadn't had in years. The fever broke and I recovered, and now, after 3 years can honestly say I am healed. It is as if I never had it. No more suppressing symptoms. No more fixing the problem. No more coughing. No more drugs The problem is gone. And my acne never came back either.

Book Review: One of the best Introductory books Available
Summary: 5 Stars

This book is one of the best and up to date on Homeopathy available. Besides the moving story of the cure of the author's son, the book also goes into depth about what homeopathy is in general.

I am a Homeopathic Physician and treat many patients within the Autistic spectrum as well as many other types of conditions. The results she states are common in a homeopathic practice. What the author outlines in her book is necessary for people to understand about homeopathy: Homeopathy works, however, it can take some time to get deep and self sustainable healing to occur.

Homeopathy doens't work by forcing, manipulating, or suppressing the bodymind. Rather it works by stimulating or catalyzing a healing reaction which is mediated by the patient. This is why it can take some time, because the bodymind needs time to make deep changes. This insures that the changes are thoroughly integrated and will have lasting value.

In addition, time is a relative concept. For example, A realistic expectation for a typical Asperger's child would be 50% improvement in 4 to 6 months, and 70% overall improvement in 10 months to a year.

The book is well written, well researched and well thought out. It is a very important book both for people looking for treatment for the Autistic Spectrum as well as other health complaints. Highly recommended.

Book Review: Great book
Summary: 5 Stars

I don't usually write reviews because it takes alot to impress me. This books fits that criteria. It is a wonderful book dealing with a mom at her wits end with a child diagnosed with autism. It was recommended to me by a lady studying homeopathy and I am so glad that I took her advise. If there is one book that I would recommend the lay person to understand the when, where, how, what, and why of homeopathy it would be this book. Because I am a mom and I don't have a lot of time to read books with a lot of high minded words written by a person who thinks way to much of themself than they should, I loved this book. She is compassionate and caring and uses words and thoughts that are easy to understand for a person who feels that there has got to be something better out there. When you read this book you can tell that she wrote it out of love and a desire to help others who may have found themselves in a similar situation to hers. I like the book "Homeopathy made simple" for how to treat different ailments and the specific remedies to use, but "The Impossible Cure" is outstanding when compared to other books that I have read dealing with Homeopathy.

Book Review: Excellent Introduction to Homeopathic Medicine
Summary: 5 Stars

I have read dozens of books on alternative medicine and homeopathy and this is one of the best. The author explains homeopathy in clear language and through fascinating stories of the successful homeopathic treatment of a variety of diseases. Early in the book, she tells the riveting story of her own son's autism and its cure through homeopathy. She then outlines how homepathic medicine was developed, how it differs from traditional western medicine, and what you can expect when you first visit a homepath. She also provides results of research studies conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of homepathy in treating various conditions.Throughout the book, she tells stories of people's experience with homeopathic medicine in treating acute and chronic conditions. These include injuries, allergies, arthritis, migraine headaches, asthma, mental illnesses, and many more conditions that have been controlled by western drugs but not cured.
I highly recommend this book.
