Book Review: Perfect for toddlers

Our two year-old son loves the Charlie & Lola series, both books and DVDs. Each story entertains while weaving in basic lessons about how to manage relationships and situations with friends and family. The characters are a delight. The use of language is sophisticated though still manageable for a toddler. It's fascinating to watch how our son picks up more and more of the verbal complexity each time we read one of the Charlie & Lola books. And he always reaches for them from his bookshelf at bedtime - even Goodnight Moon has been de-throned! This particular story has Charlie negotiating between his little sister who has a cold and wants his attention versus his soccer buddy who is counting on him for the big game.
Summary of I'm Really Ever So Not Well (Charlie and Lola)
What, Lola bored? Lola is usually very busy-and very funny!-but today she's really not feeling well! Charlie does everything he can to help, bringing Lola cookies and pink milk and even a bunch of flowers. But the flowers make Lola sneeze and the pink milk tastes green! Even worse, Charlie has promised his friend Marv that he will play in a soccer game, and now Charlie has to leave! Oh, no! How will Lola ever get better without her big brother around?Humorous Books
