Book Reviews of the Iceman: My Fighting LifeCustomer Review: "Iceman" is a fun, entertaining read but far from great Summary: 3 Stars
I had interest to read this book,so I bought it.
It's not terribly long and can pretty much be read in a weekend but is a pretty fun read nonetheless.
Their are a few times you can tell the co-author, Chad Millman takes quiet a few liberties in painting extra detail into events in Liddells life.
He never over-exagerates anything, but some of descriptions of Chuck made me laugh out loud. It in some points gets a little on the "cheese" side so to speak.
Another bad mark I give to this book is the way Chuck bashes Joh Perretti.
I don't know if Liddells claim is true or not that Perretti asked him to keep his fight standing, but I hate to see a guy like Perretti who did so much for this sport, the unsung hero of MMA never get the due respect he deserves.
But other than that I think fans of Liddell with really enjoy reading this somewhat brief biography of "The Iceman".
Their are plenty of great stories in this book and for that it is worthy of ready.
