I am a big fan of letter writing. The majority of this book are love letters that are very honest from Johnny Cash to Vivian. You are able to learn about his strong beliefs he had while courting her and how much that changed once he allowed drugs to enter the picture. I really admire Vivian and her courage to let out her story after all the years of silence she had. I Walked The Line written by Vivian Cash was one of the best biographies I have read in a long time. Why, because it consisted of so many beautiful letters written by Johnny himself to his first wife, Vivian. She shows us how very warm, loving and caring Johnny really was. The movie failed to depict this wonderful side of him.Book Review: I cried

I so enjoyed reading this. It was heartbreaking to read all the letters Johnny wrote to Vivian and know how the story would end. It was hard to read about Johnny's battle with his addictions and even harder to find out that Johnny never explained himself to Vivian or apologized.Book Review: what a heartbreaker!!

Vivian Cash's relationship w/Johnny Cash was one of the biggest untold stories. Reading Johnny's love letters to her, then hearing about the way he left her, etc. Sad story, but one that should have been told long ago. THIS IS A HE SAID SHE SAID BOOK. YOU REALLY HAVE TO FORM YOUR OWN OPINION, I BOUGHT THIS BOOK AFTER SEEING THE JOHNNY CASH MOVIE AND EVRYTHING SHE (VIVAN CASH) SAID IN THIS BOOK IS THE EXACT OPPOSITE OF THE MOVIE.
