Book Review: There should be more books such as this...
Summary: 5 Stars
The illustrations are beautiful and delightful to the eye. The story flows as you anticipate each page turn. However, this book is about a PATERNAL GRANMOTHER who's son and daughter-in-law give birth to a BABY GIRL. This book would make a wonderful gift for new grandmothers fitting into that situation.
There should be more books such as this one that cover various means in which a woman becomes a grandmother because I was quite disappointed to have to give this away after buying because it no longer fit our circumstances when our daughter came home from China. I would love to see a book as beautifully written as illustrated as this book for adoption situation as well.
Over all, I *loved* the book and wished I could have gifted it to my mother-in-law.
Summary of I Loved You Before You Were Born
"Even before you were born,
I was your grandma and I loved you."
A loving grandmother eagerly awaits the arrival of her grandchild. She dreams of the baby's soft sighs, sweet smells, and tiny toes, and imagines the infant smiling, rolling over, and crawling for the first time. Finally, the baby arrives and Grandma is ready with a very special message.
