Book Review: The only book my son seeks out

We got this as a gift from Grandma and my son is in love with it. He started grabbing it out of the book basket when he was 7 months old and throwing it toward us with a look of excitement and expectation. When we read it to him, he stares at the pictures, touches and even kisses the pages, points to the faces, and thoroughly enjoys everything about it. He's enthralled! When he hears the word "book", he yanks his head around and looks up at us with a huge smile on his face. The only problem is "book" means THIS book, and ONLY this book -- anything else is a disappointment and we have a hard time reading other things to him.
The book is precious -- The words are sweet, but I feel it's the illustrations that really make it. It's beautiful and colorful, yet simple for little ones to really enjoy. We're going to seek out more books illustrated by Caroline Jayne Church for him for Christmas. It's so wonderfully bound; the thick and sturdy pages lay flat and are perfect for reading on the floor or in your lap. So far it has stood up very well to daily (multiple times daily) readings, and lots of teething and biting.
I can't recommend the book highly enough. If he could only have one book at this age, this would be it. He takes it everywhere we go, and we've given it to all his little cousins and friends.
