Book Reviews of I Hope They Serve Beer In HellBook Review: The Dirty Little Secret is Out Summary: 5 Stars
well, at least to my class in b-school we liked to think of Tucker Max as our dirty little secret. We'd giggle like school-girls as we recounted his latest story from his website.
Well, here it is in black and white and not just cyberspace. As I used to say, even if only half of what he writes happened, it still is funnier than anything on tv/radio or some magazine.
Growing up we all wanted to be like Tucker - smart, drunk and getting laid. In middle age, we can at least pretend that we are there with him as he dishes up put down after put down and still ends up going home with the girl.
Book Review: Truth Summary: 5 Stars
The life you share and write about is obviously nothing new, just a little more over the top than most are "willing" to indulge in. The need to mock self, God, and others have always made people raise eyebrows and/or laugh a good one. Because you were uniquely made, as am I, change will likely follow at some point. Indulgence and mockery has its end. I hope you continue to be inspired to write and share your truths as you evolve as a person. Don't be mislead into believing "hell" will be a party. May this book be condensed into the 1st chapter of your life. Yes, there is so much more in you. BRAVO!.........rebecca
Book Review: Best book ever Summary: 5 Stars
When you were young you used to get red bed time stories. If you have a teenage son . Read this book to him at night . This book was excellent and extremely funny . It could have been the funniest book I have ever red. I would fear having a daughter, but other than that it was hilarious and very educational . I could not stop laughing . The author actually received a blumpkin!!! Would you believe that , A real Blumpkin!!! not many people have done that. Other people claim that if the author slept with their girlfriend that they would actually love them more. This book was a man's holly grail . AWESOME!!!!
Book Review: drunken college god? so much more Summary: 5 Stars
i hae the say that this book really chenged the way i look at life. i spent alot of my time on this earth trying to please others, this being what i though was the best way to get people to like you. groing up, teachers and parents always tell you to be yourself, but dont be mean, dont hit, dont drink, dont have sex, dont swear. pretty much a bunch of bullsh*t. this book showd me what a tool i was. a walking contradiction. i no longer try to please people. I aim to please myself, and if someone should get offended while doing this, well f*ck them.
thank you tucker max, thank you very much
Book Review: An elegant collection of youthful tales... Summary: 5 Stars
Tucker Max eloquently shares tales of hilarity that transcend the age and gender barriers. His writing style is laid back, yet enthralling. The readers will find themselves captivated by line after line of non-stop fun. This truly is a modern, true to life rendition of John Kennedy Toole's "A Confederacy of Dunces." Max is truly a unique and misunderstood genius fighting the current standards of literature and television success. "I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell" will surely become a cult classic in the near future. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone with a sense of humor.
