Book Review: Can you handle the truthiness?

If you can't and you squirm at the thought of the truth punching you in the face and then kicking your dog, don't buy this book.
For people who know The Report, this book reminds me of a very long, enjoyable, and even more hilarious version of The Word.
For people who don't know what I'm talking about, why haven't you seen The Colbert Report? Go watch it and then you'll know what I'm talking about. Then buy this book because it deserves to be bought.
I got this book as a present for xmas and I just finished it this morning and I was depressed when I got to the end because that meant the hilarity came to an end.
From the gut: buy this book, you won't be disappointed. I promise.
Book Review: Great, Hillarious Read

I bought both the hardcover and audio book as they make a great companion to each other. This book is written in the same style and tone Mr. Colbert uses on his popular television show so if you are not a fan of his satirical style then you will probably want to stay away from I am America (and so can you). However if you want an eye opening, truthiness laden look inside the deep minds of the neo-con agenda this is required reading. The funniest parts of the book are actually the comments in the margin (which are not included in the audio book read by the man Colbert himself.) I also suspect I received a Chinese knock-off as my book mark ribbon did not match the description of authenticity outlined in the book (sad panda :( )Book Review: Long Live Wriststrong!

But seriously Nation, this book provides all people with the necessary tools to become a true American and live life the Colbert Way. The right way. The true way. The American way. From it's detailed descriptions of which sports are OK to watch to it's handy flowcharts and fun facts, this book will empower the masses, tickle your funny bone, and even clean your oven in under 60 seconds. Buy this book people. Become a true American!

Book Review: You'll laugh, you'll cry and you'll want more!

Stephen Colbert is an acquired taste. I loved it when he was at the Emmy Awards and addressed the Hollywood audience as godless sodomites. Stephen Colbert is the opposite of Jon Stewart. He's pro-Bush, conservative, Catholic, God-fearing, and involved with himself too much but I love him anyway. I always look forward to watching him and Jon Stewart. Sadly with the writers' strike, their shows on hiatus until the strike is over after all they are writers themselves. This book is not something that you want to take seriously. It's humorous at points and poignant at others. Stephen is quite a character and I love him whether he's onscreen or not. The book is worth reading as is watching the show.Book Review: Great Book for the Colbert Nation

After reading a few negative reviews (out of several hundred good ones) talking about how this is nothing new than what his show provides, I was slightly worried about how I'd enjoy this book, but then after reading it, I realized THE VERY REASON YOUD BUY THIS BOOK IS BECAUSE YOURE A FAN OF THE COLBERT REPORT! This book is witty, at times it just catches you off gaurd and has you literally laugh out loud, and the sidenotes and foot notes are some of the best comedy in the book and takes it to the next level. Colberts tongue in cheek Conservatism points on everything from Hollywood, Polotics, the media, etc is on point and any fan of the Colbert Report will get a great kick out of this book.
