Book Reviews of I Am America (And So Can You!)Book Review: I'm torn about this book... Summary: 5 Stars
I collect humor books and thought Napalm & Silly Putty (George Carlin) was the funniest book ever written.
But now I've torn abdominal muscles laughing at Colbert's humor.
I've torn a glute bending over to laugh (moments prior to tearing my abdominal muscles).
So here's my thought for potential "I am America" book buyers:
Life is too tough, too serious and we need, desperately need, this type of intake to lighten our load.
I guarantee you'll find this too funny to believe. And I'll back that guarantee with a promise:
You don't laugh enough to satisfy and nourish your humor muscles, just send me your book and I promise to dispose of it properly.

Book Review: The New American Document ... Summary: 5 Stars
With this literary submission, as a country, we can now:
1. Mothball the Constitution ... I Am America trumps it in every way and is numbered, which is more than I can say for the Constitution.
2. Retire the Declaration of Independence ... I Am America is the only declaration that you need to worry about and/ or memorize. Speak it on the street corner, "my friend."
3. Dismantle the Supreme Court ... all you need to do is refer to I Am America on every legal decision from this day forward.
4. Emancipation Proclamation? Ever heard of something called a Live-Studio Audience?
5. Abraham Lincoln, George W. Bush? ...How about the Silent T in Colbert!
When it comes time to vote in November: Stephen Colbert (write-in).
Book Review: A brave Kantian introspection on Humean philosophy. Summary: 5 Stars
Even though during my salad days, I invested all of my money in a company that produces toxic waste for Eastern European movie sets; today I am a battle hardened liger farmer who has found the book that doesn't judge me for my frequent use of contractions and dangling participles. This book won't question your unwavering desire to build a birdhouse in an area devoid of birds. I am also pretty sure that Colbert's book lowered my credit score a notch, but I heard that tickling wild bears can cure that!
All in all, my neighborhood squirrels and I give this book a rating of 14 acorns. Thats good, but not "too" good. Rest assured that this book will immediately take its place beside my world famous "used toothbrushes collection".
Book Review: The greatest American ever has written the greatest book ever! Summary: 5 Stars
It was the book that only he (and his co-writers) was (were) born to write! No other book will ever make as much sense to me as "I Am America (And So Can You!)", and no other book ever will. BUY IT!
It is chock full of truthiness, chock full of heroism and absolutely devoid of bear worshipping (take that, John Culver, author of "American Dreamer: A Life of Henry A. Wallace".) "IAA(ASCY!)" is, if I may say so, the best distillation of all that is America since the Presidencies of Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan. BUY IT!
Colbert is the voice of this nation, and the nation must thank him by buying up as many copies as possible. I bought two, how about you? BUY IT!
Have you bought it yet? No? Then, BUY IT!
Book Review: I was sad to see this book end! Summary: 5 Stars
This book is incredibly hilarious, if you "get" Stephen Colbert's type of humor. If you like his show, you'll love this book. His tongue-in-cheek, extreme rightwing pundit character is just as politically incorrect as ever, and just so so funny. Complete with his opinion everywhere, including in the margins, it encompasses everything we love about "The Colbert Report." Aside from a few distracting typos (which, according to one sentence in the end of the book, may or may not have been put there on purpose), I found this an easy read and unbelievably fun way to spend my time, and I kept wishing the book was longer, or -- better yet-- that there was a sequel. I hope he writes another. I liked it so much, I bought some as gifts for friends.
