Book Reviews of Hypothyroidism Type 2: The EpidemicBook Review: Eye Opening Summary: 5 Stars
Dr. Starr's book is very informative. A family history of thyroid problems prompted our research into thyroid disease. Dr. Starr is absolutely correct. Mainstream doctors poo-poo the idea of Hypothyroidism Type 2. If the TSH blood test doesn't show a problem, there is no problem. They become very defensive if questioned.
If you want to know how important your thyroid gland is, read this book. It is well written and well documented.
Book Review: The mother lode of information Summary: 5 Stars
This book is one of the best. It is packed with excellent and helpful info about the Thyroid and other glands as well. It helped me figure out why my doctors cannot seem to diagnose or treat my problems effectively. It is not easy reading, requires quiet concentration. Could have been more simply organized, but the valuable and potentially life-saving information within is well worth the effort. Have your highlighter and page markers ready!
Book Review: Essential information about low thyroid Summary: 5 Stars
Dr Starr's book makes so much sense. It fills in details that some of the more popular books leave out.
With regard to the enhancement of the photos mentioned in another review, all very old photos have to be enhanced because they fade. That doesn't mean that they have been altered in any deceptive way.
I wish there were more modern photos too but I think people are more hesitant about allowing that now.

Book Review: Eye opening book Summary: 5 Stars
This book tells more about the medical profession than they ever intended to be known. Hypothyroidism has been ignored by main line doctors for generations. Dr. Starr is to be congratulated for his revealing work. He explains everything so even a non-medical person (like me) understands the whole story.
Book Review: Well written and insightful Summary: 5 Stars
Dr Starr has written a book that sheds further light on that poorly accepted illness, hypothyroidism. Anyone with depression or anxiety should read with interest and then harass their GP to do their own reading on the TSH test and the terrible burden of low thyroid. A 'must get' book.
