Book Reviews of Hypothyroidism Type 2: The EpidemicBook Review: Finally a book on hypothyroidism that can be used! Summary: 5 Stars
Finally a book that explans why hypothyroidism cannot be diagnosed solely by blood tests. Doctors in the 21st century should take note that their patients are running out of patience with their lack of answers to some vague epidemics such as "chronic fatigue syndrome," fibromyalgia," and "depression." I advise doctors that they need to "go back to the basics" of listenng to patients and being openminded.
Thank you, Dr. Starr, for you are a doctor who "gets it" and who makes complete sense!
Book Review: Great Book! Summary: 5 Stars
This book was easy to understand and gave me the information I needed to talk to my doctor. It helped me to realize that many of my health issues were related to the hypothyroidism and those issues have gone on for many years even though the thyroid tests came back negative. In the past, my doctor ignored my problems, said they were all in my head, and even suggested I get a new doctor (which I did) if I was going to cry every time I came to his office. I now have hope to see my health improve!
Book Review: The best Book ever Summary: 5 Stars
This book is such a great read. Even if you have not ever been diagnosed with Hypothyroid, you should read this book. Especially if you haven't.
The information in the book is eye opening. Now I know for sure why I feel the way I do and know why certain people in my family died.
I have switched my meds to desiccated thyroid hormone as indicated in the book. It's just a month and I already see an improvement from my Synthroid.
This book may have saved my life.
Book Review: Hypothyroidism Type 2: the epidemic Summary: 5 Stars
Excellent book, dealt with all the issues of hypothyroidism and some of the symptoms that one would normally not associate with hypothyroidism. Wish more Doctors would follow his advise and not judge people by blood tests, as most of them are doing.
I have purchased many books on the subject and found this very easy to read and very informative. Living in Australia it isn't possible for me to get an appointment with Dr Starr, unfortunately.
Book Review: Amazing health information - hypothyroidism Summary: 5 Stars
Hypothyroidism is a misdiagnosed condition, and the treatment is also questionable. This book documents the condition with historical rewsearch and clinical tests which proves that the thyroid is one of the most important organs that controls our metabolic state, and affects how the body functions. It shows how you can test yourself for low thyroid activity, and how you can treat yourself and advise your doctor on the proper treatment for this condition.
