Book Review: Absolutely adorable

I love any book that will give me reason to hug and kiss my daughter. This fits the bill perfectly. It has no words except the words "hug" and "mommy," but understanding pictures and facial expressions is very important for babies, and a skill that all of us should probably work on. In this book, an adorable baby monkey sees all these other baby/parent animals hugging. You can easily make the animal noises or baby can just point with easy recognition to each: elephant, giraffe.... Then the baby monkey gets sad and realizes that he/she wants a hug. The animals help him find his mommy (he yells "MOMMY") and he gives her a big hug. Finally, all the animals hug one another on the last page. Very reassuring, and any baby can identify with the simple feeling of wanting a cuddle from his or her mom. Highly recommend.
