Book Review: Top MBA by Montauk is a fantastic book!

This book is the ticket if your interested in learning how to differentiate yourself from all the other consultants and bankers with 750 GMATs and 3.7s from the Ivys. You'll learn from this book that a successful application is all about a well-crafted marketing position that will clearly communicate 4 things: 1) why you uniquely qualified to attend a top MBA program, 2) why you want to attend a given schools MBA program, 3) why you need the MBA now, and 4) what you plan on doing with the MBA.
In this book you'll also find great insider information about the schools, such as, what the interviews are like, whether or not the admissions folks want you to follow-up with them if you end up on the wait list, and how foreign programs differ from their American counterparts.
Above all else, and I found this surprising, you'll learn you don't necessarily need stellar GMATs or GPAs - if you have a fantastic story and can demostrate in other ways that you are great leader who can cut through BS and do well in the difficult core classes, you have a strong shot at any of the top schools.
