Book Review: My Daughter's Favorite - It will bring joy to your child

This is the second copy of this book that we've gone through in my family.
My mother-in-law bought this as a gift for my baby and from about 18 months onward, my little girl loved this book so much. I had to read it to her every night and of course after six months of her tugging at all the pop up pages, there's wear and tear so I ordered her another one.
It's quite literally the most stunning pop up book I have every seen and there are fairies hidden throughout the book - and my little girl hunts for them. It's wonderful interaction for babies and parents.
My daughter enjoyed this book from 18months to 3.5 years -- literally her favorite book that I had to bring out every night.
TEACHES TO SEARCH:
This book has tons of pop up pages (mostely green) - with fairies hidden in different forest settings (tree tops, meadows, flower beds, wayside, forest floor etc). The goal is to help your child look careful for fairies that might be hidden among the leaves. It teaches them to look carefully so that when you say, "can you get X from the refrigerator" from your toddler, they don't say, "I can't find it." even if it's laying right in front of them. This is a great tool for that.
TEACHES CAUTIONARY TALE:
My daughter loves mushrooms and this book has its fair share of pictures of toadstools so we spent quite a bit of time instructing how toadstools come from the ground and mushrooms come from the refrigerator and how toadstools are yucky. We have so much fun with this book. She'll find a picture of a toadstool and will say, "that's a toadstool, yuck, yuck. weeeeee doooooooon't touch those!" In that shrill little girl voice - it's wonderful.
For the longest times when we walked around the neighborbhood, my little girl kept looking for fairies in every bush or little hole in the ground. It's great. So much joy from a child. Get this book - it's quite literally amazing - you won't regret it.
Book Review: Simply gorgeous Fairy pop-up book!

I love pop-up books and have been a long-time Robert Sabuda fan. Well, after buying a couple of Cicely Mary Barker's fairy books, I think they are quite wonderful in their own right. In "How To Find Fairies", we have a beautiful pop-up book that allows us an 'intimate' look at fairies and their habitats. As the great video review posted by another reviewer shows, there are altogether 5 big spreads that show us the different habitats of fairies, such as the tree top fairies that are concealed amongst leaves, the forest floor fairies that hide in the hollow of old tree stumps, fairies that make their home in the garden hiding amongst colorful flowers,fairies that conceal themselves amongst the brush by the wayside, and finally fairies that live in the marshlands which also happen to be the abode of the royal couple, Kingcup and Queen of the Meadow.
The video review posted by another reviewer has illustrated the beauty of this book, but the beauty is not just visual. The text enhances the visuals as it gives basic yet useful information about fairies and their habitats. And of course, the last page contains a delightful surprise! Highly recommended for fairy lovers and pop-up enthusiasts of all ages!
Book Review: Gorgeous!

I have 3 kids and they can destroy anything (and usually do). I was very very afraid to order this. Popup books don't even stand a chance in my house.
It was just so gorgeous and my 4yr old daughter loves fairies so much. She even made a fairy farm in our yard after a nature walk. I just HAD to order it.
It has been several months now (about 6 mths) and surprisingly this thing is in perfect condition still. The kids all adore it. We put it in a special spot and the kids get all excited and snuggle in on the sofa with me when I get it out.
It is gorgeous and we all admire and cherish it in our family.
This is VERY much worth buying!

I love Cicely Mary Barker's Flower Fairies. I hope that they are living in my garden. That's why I bought this book: it gives good ideas on how to find them. The illustrations and popups are so beautiful, and if you look just right, you can find the fairies in their little garden homes. This is a book for both children and adults. I actually bought this book to use it as a background for photo's of my fairy sculpts. Well,when this book came, it literally took my breath away. One, the cover is beautiful, then when you open it and go page by page, you see all the little things. Things that if you don't take your time, you'll miss. If you have a young girl that loves magic and fairies, this is a wonderful, wonderful book. I've honestly never seen a book like this. It is amazing......
