I wrote this book to enable experienced (and not so experienced) Windows computer users to quickly and painless make the transition to the mac platform.
Bill Gates' mantra during the development of Windows was "Make it like the Mac!"
Therefore the two operating systems are not nearly as worlds apart as you might think.
Although Macs are quite frankly better (and more fun to use) than Windows computers, both types of computers work pretty much the same way.
If you can use a computer keyboard and point and point & click the mouse, you're good to go with a new Mac computer.
Some of the people I have helped with their new Macs assumed that they needed to install Windows so that they could use their printers and existing windows programs.
Chances are you won't need to do this! If you have a USB printer / digital camera / scanner, your Mac will be able to recognize them without any need for additional software.
Also, if there is a Windows computer program that you need to use, chances are there is a Mac equivalent for it.
