Look at the dates of the reviews. This book went without comment for weeks. An unfavorable review went up on January 28, 2006 and within 24 hours THREE 5-star reviews appear. ALL are from New Yorkers. The author's husband works in publishing in NY. Is the author, her husband, his staff, or her publisher trying to "game" the reviews? From the excerpts I've read, "whiny" and "self-absorbed" doesn't begin to describe the author's approach to being a parent. It wouldn't shock me to learn that the 1/28/06 review hit a nerve and phony reviews were posted as damage-control.
