Book Review: FANTASTIC STEP BY STEP APPROACH

"How I Play Golf" is a fantastic step by step guide. It lays out every stroke and club. It provides a great reference guide after you've been out on the greens. I find myself referring back to it to work on the fine points of my game.The photos are very well done showing each swing and common mistakes. It's a great book for the beginning / intermediate golfer and it avoids the "fine tuning" detail of some books which just seem to complicate the game with too many rules. It's the basic, classic strokes that will help you perfect your game on your way to becoming the next Tiger Woods!
Book Review: You don't have to golf to enjoy this.

I've read three extensive excerpts (Sunday Telegraph supplements) and it made me want to golf, even in the cold rain. I took inspiration from all parts of the game he described, and marvelled at his mastery of the golf swing.If you never read another golf book, read this one. I would recommend it to anyone, golfer or not. Even some Physics academics could learn something here.
My short game has always been reliable, but now I want to go to the Pitch 'n Putt every weekend. I will be re-reading these excerpts again, and maybe someone will notice this book on my Wish List this Christmas.

Book Review: Great Golf Instruction Book

This book is a must for any golfer wishing to improve his/her game. It is clearly written with great sequential pictures and illustrations. It explains many of the fundamentals in an easy to understand manner. Based on the information in the book, I changed my grip and technique for putting and I am much more consistent. I also changed my grip and swing technique for my drives with much better results. With some practice over the past month using the techniques from this book, I've moved from a 90's to 80's golfer. It is the best golf book I've ever read.Book Review: Tiger Got Zen!!

I came expecting-(crassly, I admit)- to find a "How-to-hit-Home-Runs by Mark McGwire" type of book, but I got a refreshiing step by step introduction to the mindset of how a golfer thinks, deals with and plays the game.Woodses' Recollections of his triumphs and slip-ups reveal the man behind the young hero and his worthiness to the title of role-model for our youngsters.Many more to you Mr. Tiger Woods-and many more like you to follow in other fields of endeavor.
