Book Review: Excellent

My husband and I took up golf a couple of years ago for fun, and to introduce our eight year old son to a sport we could all play together. My son is now plays in tournaments each week. The problem is he never listens to any advice I give him! Obviously I am no Earl Woods but now I have Tiger by my side! My son can read the book, look at the photos and see exactly what he should be doing. The book is easy to read and contains precise instructions. The photos are superb and guide the reader through every step of the swing. Tiger's thoughts about the game are inspiring and insightful. I also recommend you read 'Open Your Mind, Open Your Life: A Little Book of Eastern Wisdom' by Taro Gold, which contains many great quotations and inspiring messages based on the Buddhist teachings that Tiger practices.Book Review: A Great Book!

Tiger's "how to" book on golf is a resourceful, easy to understand and inspiring tool for improving and appreciating the game of golf. There are many books, tapes, gadgets and gizmos out on the market that claim if used, you too can have a golf game like Tiger Woods. Some may work but many don't deliver. How can you go wrong with a book written by the man himself? Tiger has done an excellent job in articulating and sharing his passion for the game of golf.
In reading Tiger's book I was reminded of another book called "WORKING ON YOURSELF DOESN'T WORK" written by Ariel and Shya Kane. Just as Tiger's book is a tool for playing your best golf game, the Kane's book is a tool for living an awesome, wonderful life. I highly recommend both of these books.
Book Review: Wonderful book from a great player!

I received this book for Christmas and read it in about 3 days. I could not put it down. I plan to read it again to concentrate on the drills. The book is separated on each piece of the game: putting, chipping, irons, woods, sand, etc. I played a couple days after finishing and I felt an improvement already! The most important lessons were found in chapters 9 (How to stay in control) and 10 (How to master the mind). For a high handicap golfer like myself the biggest problems are keeping a cool head during the round and not playing out of my abilities. Many times my bad shots occur out of frustration.Seeing the game through Tiger's eyes helped me realize how he has become such a tremendous player. It has also made me a bigger fan! This is a must read for any level player.

I'm a mystery novelist who lives in Palm Desert, the golf capital of the world. Every few months, Tiger Woods visits our community to compete in professional events. Most people I know golf, and Tiger Woods is everyone's hero. In HOW I PLAY GOLF, Tiger provides the tips one would expect in such a book. As a bonus, there is some remarkable photography of this remarkable man playing this remarkable sport. Most significantly to me is Tiger's expressions in HOW I PLAY GOLF of his love and respect for his sport. If this young man doesn't stop generating excitement for golf, it will soon be impossible for ordinary duffers to get tee times. This book is a great one on many levels.
