Book Reviews of How I Became a PirateBook Review: Book for ye scurvy dogs! Summary: 5 Stars
Well laddies (and lasses), I've found the buried treasure! In it, of course, was "How I Became a Pirate". By exploring a child's imagination on the beach, we meet a group of friendly pirates with green teeth, if any teeth at all. Long and Shannon take the readers on an adventure into pirate life. However, Jeremy soon realizes that he might miss his life as a boy and having white teeth.
Book Review: 3-Year-old Grandson LOVES this book!! Summary: 5 Stars
This is hands-down my 3-year-old grandson's favorite book.
He's a pirate fanatic anyway, fascinated by pirates, and he LOVES this book!
When he comes for a visit, he immediately digs this out of the pile and we end up reading it 2-3 times.
Well-written and illustrated, this is every little boy's fantasy of becoming a pirate.
Money well-spent on a children's book.
Book Review: Can grandparents be pirates too? Summary: 5 Stars
This is a fun adventure about a little boy who becomes a pirate. My 3 1/2 yr old grandson and I enjoyed this book and have re-read it many times. There are fun illustrations and we enjoy the pirate remarks, like "down the hatch, me laddies!" and I have shown him how I can sleep with one eye open just like the pirates, which he tries to do as I read the book to him. This is a fun book!
Book Review: Wonderful Pirate Fantasy Summary: 5 Stars
After seeing his sandcastle at the beach, a ship of pirates decides to take Jeremy Jacobs aboard their ship. At first Jeremy loves the life of a pirate ("No one tells you to eat your spinach), but after there is no one to tuck him or comfort him during a storm, Jeremy decides to return home. Accompanied by detailed illustrations this book is recommended for anyone who likes pirates.
Book Review: How we became fans of this pirate book Summary: 5 Stars
This book is a favorite with our 3 boys. You simply can't read it aloud without morphing into a pirate accent. It's easy to make this book come alive for your kids. The illustrations are beautiful, detailed and comical. It makes a great gift for birthdays and Christmas. If our 4th child had been a boy, he would have been named Jeremy Jacob...arrrrrrgh! SHE, however, is Lauren.
