The book uses questions during the first part of the book to tell the story. The picture vividly portray the questions. The story plays on people fears of dinosaurs. For example, one image has a dinosaur roaring. Yet, the book has dinosaurs doing the things that many kids do when they go to bed such as pouting, throwing teddy bears around, and having a piggy back rides. Yet, in the end they become sweet pussy cats, just like most kids before they go to bed.Book Review: Wish all the books were big!

We absolutely love Yolen and Teague's 'Dinosaur' books. The text is fun and rhythmic and the pictures are just incredible. My son is eight years old and loves these books, just now when he came in as I was on the computer he pointed to the books and said "thanks!!!". We have only one comment. Please, please, please, make all of them available in large book editions. The board books are simply too small to appreciate the amazing detail in the illustrations.Book Review: Wonderful

My 1 year old LOVES this book. Every night at bedtime he laughs when I pull it out. He points out all the different animals on the pages... small dogs.. cats.. teddy bears.. even a fish! He flips the pages with me totally engrossed in this book. Toward the end of the story when it reads.."they give a big kiss.." he ALWAYS leans back and kisses me. Thats the best part. It's a great story and the message promotes a peaceful bedtime. Our favorite book.Book Review: Perfect bed time story!

I bought this for my 2 year old son. He loves this book. I also have bought the other ones (How does a Dinosaur get well soon, and How does a Dinasour count to ten, How does a Dinasour clean his room?) He loves all of those books. They actually helped stop the little whiny episodes when it came to bed time and taking his medicine. I have not gotten sick of reading these books yet. Those books are good for the entire family! I recomend it for any age.
