Book Reviews of Hour GameBook Review: OK, but... Summary: 3 Stars
This novel was going well, with the search for an apparent serial killer. Then there was a sudden shift, and a confrontation with the killer as the killer's identity was revealed. I was left with the impression that the author had "painted himself into a corner" and suddenly needed some way to end the novel. Maybe the author had a deadline from his publisher, but I think the novel needed a little more work. So, it is OK to read, but not great.
Book Review: Weak effort from one of my favorite authors Summary: 3 Stars
I agree with the most the other reviewers, this book is very confusing, with too many plot twists. More often than not, the story drags. It does have some entertainment value, but overall it is well below what I have come to expect from this author. You might wait for paperback or go to the library. I recommend you check out "Nightfall" a thriller where the author does a great job of setting the pace!
Book Review: Not Baldacci's Best Summary: 3 Stars
Baldacci writes a good story. I particularly like his Camel Club series. This book deals with Sean King and Michelle Maxwell, both ex-secret service agents. The book does have some stereo typed southern folk that was a bit tacky but nevertheless entertaining. I wouldn't rank this as one of his best. Still it was a good mystery and a good read. I enjoyed it.
Book Review: Trite and disappointing. Summary: 3 Stars
This is my second Baldacci novel and it will probably be my last. It was full of shoddy contrivances that left me feeling cheated by the author. Cell phones that work after swimming with them, bullets colliding in mid air in the dark, rubbish. I would have found a comic book better entertainment.
Book Review: Not his best work Summary: 3 Stars
I've read most of this author's stuff. This book was not very well done. Confusion predominate and once you figure it out, you no longer care.
