Book Reviews of Horus Rising (Warhammer 40,000 Novels: Horus Heresy)Book Review: And the Journey begins Summary: 5 Stars
There really is no point in me repeating what positive things have already been said about this book--it's written by a great Author and for me personally, I was hooked into the story from page one. Purchase this book WH40k fans! I'm not sure if readers unfamiliar with WH40k will appreciate this series as much as WH40k Fluff addicts like myself.
Book Review: Great Beginning Summary: 5 Stars
All i can say is that i finished this book and moved onto the next far too quickly. I didn't put it down until it was finished.
I used to play the games when i was younger and it was nice to discover the books.
Knowing a bit of the history of the world found me almost begging the characters along.
I enjoyed it
Book Review: And So It Begins Summary: 5 Stars
Who better to begin the Heresy than Dan Abnett, master of war? Nobody. As a first in a series, it is an almost living read, filled with action, mystery, wonder, and so much more. Witness the beginning of the end of all things good. I wish I could write more, but it's hard to sum up how good this book is. Enjoy it.
Book Review: So hard to find Summary: 5 Stars
If you've read a lot of science fiction or fantasy it is so tremendously hard to find plot lines that are not hackneyed to death, characters who aren't cookie cutter and writing that just doesn't keep your interest. This series is a real find and brings excitement and fine writing that engages you.
Book Review: Decent into Darkness Summary: 5 Stars
As a longtime fan of Warhammer 40,000 I have always been interested in the history of the Horus Heresey. Now you can learn what transpired to turn the greatest of the Primarchs into one of the most loathed trators to mankind. A must read for all fans of the Warhammer 40,000 universe!
