BEFORE I READ THIS BOOK I WAS SUPER EXCITED TO GET ANOTHER HH BOOK AND TO SEE THE PROGRESSION OF THE HERESY BUT AFTER READING ONLY A FEW PAGES I WAS BLOWN AWAY BY HOW MUCH THIS BOOK SHOULD OF BEEN A STAND ALONE BOOK. HAD REALLY NOTHING TO DO WITH THE HERESY. I MEAN IT ONLY MENTIONS ASTARTES A FEW TIMES ANYWAY. NOT A GOOD READ BECAUSE IF U KNOW THE ALPHA LEGION FLUFF ANY WAY YOU'LL BE WASTING YOUR LUTE. BAD BOOK. IT SHOULD OF BEGAN WITH THE ALPHA LEGIONS FOUNDING AND HOW Alpharius SPENT MORE TIME WITH HORUS THAN THE EMPEROR AND HOW HE WOULD CHOOSE HORUS OVER THE EMPEROR BECAUSE OF THAT LOYALTY AND WHAT THEY DO FROM THEN ON.... THIS WAS A WASTED STORY THAT I HOPE AND PRAY GETS BACK ON TRACK WITH BATTLE OF THE ABYSS
