Book Review: excellent read

We have bought every single Ready Freddy Book. I read them outloud to 3 of our 4 sons (well, maybe all 4 but the 17 year old wouldn't want to admit he was listening!). They rock. I love to read them, enjoy them myself, and cannot believe how much fun they are. Even my husband listens (perhaps while doing something else, acting like he isn't but he is!). These books just grab your attention, and you keep reading because you just can't stop reading them.
Our boys laugh and laugh; sometimes I have to take a break because I, too, am loosing it, laughing. They are great books. Our son did a project on this particular book.
All the Ready Freddy Books come highly recommended by me.....the six of us! We enjoy them. I spend about an hour and read the whole book to them, and they are just so much fun. of course, our 9 year old loves to find the shark tooth in each picture....and that is exciting that he wants to!
FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY. Read them today!!!! Homework Hassles is a riot. I always feel the story lines are very reasonable, the kids are like a normal family and not super rude and disrespectful to the parents, and it sounds like a story from our own home. Today, that is important to me because it feels so many kids are super rude and talk back, etc. and so do our books but these are not like that. They are fun, entertaining, leave it to beaverish stories in the 2000's---have current issues and technology---but the role-modeling from the 50's and 60's. RESPECT is a priority! Great books.
Summary of Homework Hassles (Ready, Freddy!)
Watch out, Junie B., there's a new kid on the block! It's Freddy Thresher, a 1st grader who knows it's a jungle out there. Here's the third in a new series by an elementary teacher who's seen it all.
Freddy Thresher has a problem: a really, really, big problem. His teacher wants the class to do reports on nocturnal animals, and everybody but Freddy has a really cool animal to study. How will Freddy find one? When his best friend, Robbie, says the two boys should have a sleepover and sneak outside at night, Freddy makes a huge mistake and ends up getting his late-night wish in a very unexpected way!
