This book takes you out of your comfort zone with Father Tim and his friends and neighbors. It meanders around in Tim's past, sometimes leaving me puzzled and confused. However, Jan Karon pulls it all together like bundling a warm blanket in a more fairy-tale ending than we readers are accustomed to. Still I am looking forward to reading of Father Tim's next adventure.Book Review: Karon writes another winner

Jan Karon, author of the Mitford Series, continues with another book about Father Tim in the new Father Tim series. This one was a winner although I found it a little hard to follow. Nice, however to get a glimpse of Father Tim's background.Book Review: Except for the ending, it's terrific.

The first in the Father Tim series is classic Karon. However, the abrupt ending is unnerving and unsatisfying. It is almost as if Karon just stopped writing and said, "That's it! I'm done!" Otherwise, a sweet read.
