Book Reviews of Holy Blood, Holy Grail

Book Review: This book opened the door -- now see what's behind it.
Summary: 5 Stars

I first read Holy Blood, Holy Grail when it originally came out in the United States in the early 80's. I found its claims, and the documentation of them, interesting, but unproven. At the time I was a novelist, and my second book was just about to come out. Then, last year, having found myself as the publisher of a new book publishing company, I was offered the source material which confirms what Holy Blood, Holy Grail had claimed. I accepted the book for publication and it is now available for the first time to other than initiates. I doubt that Amazon.com wants these reviews to be used to plug other books, but since this "other book" is also available for sale from Amazon.com, I hope they will understand why I'm using their review for a cross-reference. If you were fascinated by the claims of Holy Blood, Holy Grail, please do a search on Amazon.com under "Joseph of Arimathea," who is the author of The Book of the Holy Grail, now on sale from Amazon.com. The Book of the Holy Grail contains a translation of the original almost 2,000-year-old manuscript which proves the claims made in Holy Blood, Holy Grail, and explains what the bloodline of Jesus have been doing for the last two millennia ... and much, much more. The Amazon.com catalog listing includes a full description of the book, its table of contents, and an introduction by the current Merovingian Patriarch and Grand Master of the Templars / Illuminati.

Book Review: The Church Wouldn't Lie - Or Would It?
Summary: 5 Stars

I read this book almost 20 years ago when it was a controversial bestseller and reread it twice more in the following years. I think that most Americans are more open minded and inquisitive now. I also have to chuckle at the 'religious extremists' ranting reviews. Some people just don't want you to think for yourselves. I mean, do you really think an organization that hides its Pedophile Priests is/was always telling the truth?
For the first 1600 years of Christendom, only the Catholic Church had domain over Christ. Numerous writings were in older versions of the Christian scriptures but were edited out over the centuries.

This is the story of the Knights Templar and the mystery surrounding Rennes-le-Chateau, a small town in southern France. Through over 10 years of research the authors claim that Jesus may not have died on the cross and actually made his way to southern France, where his bloodline continued.

This book is a must read for anyone interested in the Knights Templar, their secret and how it affects us today. If you can't handle an alternate view of history/religion and how it may have been purposely kept from the general public, then don't read this book. Also don't read the shocking and amazing book, 'Alien Rapture' by Edgar Fouche, or the real truth from Dr. Paul Hill's 'Unconventional Flying Objects.' Actually the 'Truth is out There', but we don't take the time to find it.

Book Review: Read this book with a Grain of Salt but READ IT!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a wonderful book which presents an alternative perspective on the Christ story. It is indeed much more in a literary vein than a scientific one, but truth is often found much more in literature than in science books. For another view which is far more scientific yet comes to similar conclusions read Barbara Thierings' _Jesus and the Riddle of the Dead Sea Scrolls_. She uses the gospels themselves to show the truth of what happened. She presents a truly historical Jesus using the "pesher" method of translating the inner meaning of the gospels. Thiering is a highly educated scholar who worked with others to translate the Dead Sea Scrolls when she came upon this method of translation and applied it with amazing results to the Gospels. Put her several books together with _Holy Blood Holy Grail_, and you can really come out with a tantalizing picture different from that touted for at least 1600 years by traditional "Christianity." What is most substantial in the Gospels comes from the profound and wonderful meaning of the Christian message and not from "faith" in the "miracles" surrounding the life of Christ. If you are willing to open your mind to wonderful new possibilities in relation to the Christ story, do not be afraid to read _Holy Blood Holy Grail_. The rewards are many.

Book Review: It could be conspiracy theory but it could have also been covered up.

The above link is an interview with the author (Lincoln). In the interview he tells where Plantard tells him the parchment is faked but he refutes it because he found code in the actual parchment.

(TT: Well, didn't they give you some information about pentagonal geometry?

HL: No, I found the geometry! It was when M. Plantard, at my very first meeting with him, said to me, "The parchments were fakes, and they were faked by Cherisey", who was seated right next to me. My response was to say, "No, M. Plantard", which was not the response he expected. Because I had already found the pentagon in the parchment, and therefore I knew that there was a lot more to that document then had so far been talked about. )

So could the Priory be trying to cover itself up again and deflect attention from it?

It is an interesting read and there is more to research on the net but be careful when you get to the Christian sites on this because Christian science is based on faith and feeling not any sort of fact. If it was then you would not need faith.
The whole point of faith is believing something that can not be logically proven.

Maybe there has been a cover up and that is the way the Priory wants it.

Book Review: Perception
Summary: 5 Stars

Perception is up to the reader. This book is all about perception. This book was a quest in it self. Started by BBC documetary research the authors began their own "Grail" quest and the research in this book is exceptional. They look at every different angle and in the end let the reader determine their own perception.

All of the other reviews that say this is hog wash or fantasy are missing the whole point. Any one can say that about any book including the Bible! When you transcend thousands of years and dialects as well as customs with extemely varying opinions and accounts of actual events you will never really get the correct account. You must look at each puzzle piece objectively. And the picture that emerges is just that, what you perceive. The three authors of this book do a great job in giving you many possible interpretations of the information they sifted through to make this book.

Whether or not they are correct is not the point. Whether there is a right or wrong answere is moot. The journy is the destination. This was a fun book and interesting to see the myriad of variables and possibilities.

In the end it's all up to the reader and their perception. Believe what you will. No one is right, no one is wrong it's all your perception.

It was a fun read!
