Book Reviews of Heroes: Saving Charlie: A NovelBook Review: Very disappointing Summary: 2 Stars
I had been looking forward to reading this novel for awhile since there isn't much out there other than the Graphic Novels that are part of the NBC website. I'm only about 1/3 of the way through the book because it's such a painful read. I'm forcing myself to continue reading, hoping it will get better. The author has a very poor feel for the characters. They don't say, do and think things that you would expect from them if you are a fan of the show. It makes me wonder how much of the show the author has actually seen. There are even some plot inconsistencies in the opening diner scene. Hopefully the book will get better, but my expectations are pretty low based on what I've seen so far. This is the worst book I've read in quite awhile.
Book Review: Junk Food Fiction Summary: 2 Stars
All filler, no substance. Wallingtson simply filled in the blanks in uncreative ways. She had a prime opportunity to really add to the Heroes canon by adding an "unknown" adventure of Hiro Nakamura, but instead, she phoned in a bland, cookie cutter tale. Not worth your time.
Book Review: Sex and more sex Summary: 1 Stars
Being a huge Heroes and Hiro fan, I find this book offending. Did the author think she was still writing for Sex and the City? Every other page presents vivid descriptions of Hiro's sexual fantasies. For basically every female creature he comes across. How did a Heroes story become a sex novel?
