I'm not quite sure that I would agree that this is a book for dummies. Although the print layout is attractive and interesting and the diagrams are helpful, there seems to be too much material that is too sophisticated for a "dummy." That is not to say that there isn't considerable information that is both worthwile and interesting on the topic because there are many practical suggestions and advice. If the reader can zero in on the main points, this can be a very helpful resource for anyone concerned with heartburn and reflux.
